LeQuia Collins

I am LeQuia Collins and my passion for volleyball stems from my long-term personal commitment to the game. I began my playing career through recreational and club teams in my early childhood years. I pursued my development as an athlete through high school varsity competition and was fortunate enough to receive a complete athletic scholarship to an NCAA Division I university.  As the setter for Grambling State University, I had several notable accomplishments, including team captain; all-conference team honors, and assists per match and game record holder. My career as a college athlete seamlessly opened the door to a professional career in education and athletics.  As a current head volleyball coach, I have achieved great success, producing many statewide accolades for individual players, as well as the team as a whole. In 2014, I was named Texomaland Coach of the Year.  Additionally, I have made 2 appearances at the Regional Championship State volleyball tournament. Not only do I still love the excitement of the sport, but I am also equally passionate about the reward of mentoring young athletes. As a coach, I begin with the identification and development of individual talent and mold each player’s strengths into a high-functioning and successful team
