My name is Jamie Coleman. My passion for volleyball started in the 4th grade when I participated in a training clinic at my school. I have been in love with the sport ever since. In 1999, I joined the North Garland High School Varsity team as a freshman. I returned as a starting player until I graduated in 2003. My main position was outside hitter, but I transitioned in all positions and had a love for the front row. In 2002, I was named best offensive player of the year.
After I graduated high school, I decided I wanted to pass down the knowledge and skills I obtained during my volleyball career to young women. I signed on as a coach for the Garland Volleyball Association. From 2003-2009, I coached in the 12-13 year old division. In 2009, I took a break when I had my son, Bradyn. I am excited to return to volleyball. I am ready to get back in it and build the foundation for my team to have a strong, successful, and fun season. My goal is not only to help increase the girls’ athletic skills but also help them grow into responsible well-rounded women in all aspects of their lives. I believe in discipline, strong work, heart, and effort. When these qualities align, we are all successful on and off the court!
